River Bartek runs from lake Bartaure (Tsakka) to lake Riebnes and is about 12 kilometers long. This is a fly-fishing only stretch. There's trout in the entire stream but also Arctic char in the upper part of the river. Fishing is normally best in the end of July - beginning of August. Fishing is mainly done with caddis flies but also with mayflies, (adults, pupas and nymphs).

There are a lot of small lakes in the vicinity holding Arctic char but also occasionally trout. The lower part is more of a river in its character whilst the upper part is more of a "lakes connected via short streams" stretch. The upper part is the part where you will find the larger fish. The vegetation in the area is mostly mountain birch but closer to Riebnes there's more of pine and spruce. The river splits up into two rivers shortly before reaching lake Riebnes.
