Hurasjokk

This small tributary to River Laisan has its source in Lake Baktjosjaure at 1284 metres above sea level below the mighty Mountain Baktjosvagge. It is about 30 kilometres in length and enters River Laisan just downstream of Blassa.

The upper part of Hurasjokk, above the outflow of the small creek Riugojokk, is called Dadtjajokk and flows through a barren mountain landscape.

Below Riugojokk the stream enters River Laisan Valley and it is in this part of Hurasjokk where You might find big trout.

The second half of July and the whole of August are usually the best period for fishing in this river.
