Ruonekjokk Creek southwest of the village Vuoggatjolme is excellent trout water that suits most flyfishermen’s wishes. Starting close to the Norwegian border, west of Mount Guikultjarro, it flows through a magnificent valley, constantly changing from rapids to calmer stretches to finally end its journey with a waterfall into Lake Sadvajaure.

The upper part, from Lake Guijaure to Lake Stuora Savon, consists of rather fast rapids with the exception of some deeper parts close to Lake Guijaure. The calm stretch Storselet, below Lake Stuora Savon, as well as the following calmer stretches with their out- and inlets offer some of the nicest flyfishing waters there is. Moving further down the creek You will find rapid after rapid until You reach the lower part of the creek where once again deeper parts appear. The fishable stretch is close to 20 kilometres long.

Halfway down the creek is a bridge and a rest cabin for trekkers.

In Lake Guijaure there’s also an opportunity to catch arctic char.
