Sieldutjokk Creek, with the source flow from Lake Ikesjaure and Lake Jurunjaure below Mount Stuor-Jervas and final destination Lake Vuoggatjolmjaure is a well known creek in the Swedish flyfishing society. The creek is about 23 kilometres long and starts with alternating calm and rapid stretches, and ends with the last 5 kilometres being of much calmer character.

You can reach the creek by boat from Vuoggatjolme Village or by helicopter if You want to go further up, and of course there’s always the option of walking.

The Sieldutjokk trout is well known for its fighting spirit, but also the fact that it’s shy and not easily fooled. As a bonus the occasional arctic char spice things up.

A short story.
