Modeling beam structures using 3DBeamFEM™
D. Backstroem 2007,2008

3DBeamFEM is a small and simple software package designed for static finite element analysis of beam structures. Its primary area of use is analysis of small to medium sized beam models such as frames, pipe supports et c. 3DBeamFEM makes use of ordinary beam theory and reports calculated displacements, loads and estimated effective stresses according to von Mises or Tresca theory.

3DBeamFEM is shareware. Registration is US$10. Download here (1 MB). If you wish to continue using 3DBeamFEM, please purchase a license from my retailer Kagi. The activation code will allow you to construct models with more than 5 nodes.

Version history:
1.0.0 First release
1.0.1 Fixed bug in the Isoview routine which in some cases could cause 3DBeamFEM to crash.
1.1.0 Complete reconstruction of program core with new effective memory management and a faster solver.
1.2.0 New graphical representation of the stress levels
Possibility to evaluate the Tresca effective stress
"Shear coefficient" replaced by two shear areas
1.2.1 Changed "yellow" stress representation to "orange" for better contrast
