Yes it is
correct, I collect memories!
Meaning, I love to collect stuff that has a background, that means something to me
or maybe a story to tell. Whether it is known or unknown to me. Antiques and vintage
things, such as laces, table cloths, furnitures, trunks and such. For instance, I
have an old copper flower pot that once belonged to my fathers maternal grandmother. I
guess one could call it memorabilia. I have a hard time throwing away something that has
been given to me, no matter how long ago it was. I have an old wooden box that I once made
in school, ages ago. In it I collect clippings and small stuff that was given to me by exboyfriends,
obituaries, birthnotes, or other clippings regarding my family or other people know. Plus
notes, stickers, whatever has a special meaning to me.I got this bowl I keep tiny memories in, a dried seastar I picked when I was at
the Swedish westcoast, a piece of cat hair from my old cat, hale from the first raindeer
steak I made. Flowers from a special summer, picked in the garden of my paternal
grandmother, the last summer that my grandfather was alive, I also have a tiny little egg
that my canarie laid. This sounds weird perhaps, it isnt like I look at it everyday. I
just like to keep it in there, and sometimes look at it and remembers. |
