little about the membears in my den...... I still have my first teddy bear, his name is "Blåbjörn" which simply
means "Bluebear". He was always with me and have been ever since. I got him as a
baby, my parents won him at an amusement park and was given to me as a baby. His eyes
where immediately removed cause they where considered to be dangerous for me. His pawpads
has been replaced several times.....now my bear can see and talk again, has new pawpads
thanks to a wonderful lady who lived in the states, may she rest in peace now. I have been
given a few other bears too and they are all with me. Living on a top shelf so that no one
could accidently knock them down. I also have my fathers old bear. Which I am very proud
of.

Cherished Teddies
I have collected quite a few through the years, I
have lost count of them. If I should guess I think that the hug is about 200 membears
large. I will one day however count them all so I know for sure. I started out by
collecting whatever teddybear I could find in the stores, as long as they looked cute and
begged to come home with me. They where manufactured and rather inexpensive compared to
the ones I collect today. |

In my hug I have a mix between Gund bears, Boyds
bears that has been given to me in Swaps organized through the Teddy Bears Mailing list,
Cherished Teddies (the stuffed ones), Forever Friends Bears, Anna Club Plush Bears and
many more., I also have some bears made by different bear artists and bear makers in my
hug, such as Carol-Lynn Rössel Waugh, Barbara Pinelli- McDonough, Jonette Stabbert, Bolly
Dolls & Bruin Bears, Chubby Cub bears, Jenny Walton. Just to mention a few....and of
course all the bears I have made myself.
I also got the chance to adopt the Internet bear
from Hermann earlier in 1997. I named the bear Compis and his mouse friend Musse. Compis
is a mix between the swedish word for buddy - "kompis" and how you spell
computer. Musse is named Musse cause "Mus" is swedish for mouse.
