Rumours about an expansion for Worms 2, like the one for the original Worms,
said that a such was supposed to be released in May 98. But no such thing was released then, and later
came the explanation: Team 17 had decided to make a whole new game instead of an add-on. The new Worms game had the
preliminary name "Wormageddon" and was said to be the ultimate worms game, and as such, the final.
Counters started to count down to a date in August (was it the 12th?), when a big
lot of information about Wormageddon was to be released. I, along with many wormers around the globe sat
there frantically pressing our update buttons on our browsers, and I don't think many of us were dissapointed when the
info finally was released.
Among many things, it said that the planned release date was in October. I never believed that, and how right wasn't I... Sometime
after October they said "before Christmas". And after that, it finally was released in January 29. Yours truly went and bought it the 30th
and he loved what he played, and played it hour after hour. Oh, and btw Wormageddon changed to Worms: Armageddon beacuse of some SCI jerks thought the
first was too close to "Carmageddon"...
Now let's ditch the 3rd person talking and get down to business, Worms: Armageddon wasn't only a big bang in the Worms games history,
it also created some major moaning by people having problem with the game. Personally I guess I was lucky as I did not have any troubles at all. However, later on in
April came a patch which solved most of the problems people were having.
Overall rating out of five worms:

Demo
So far one W:A demo is out. It has a few missions and trainings, and limited ability to setup a
custom game. Unfortunately it has no multiplay capability, but a such demo is promised to be out soon, when
things calm down. Click link below to download the Demo, and get a small taste of the real thing!

No FMVs?
That's right, no Full Motion Videos in W:A. From what I know, they take too much space or
something, and they actually don't add much to the game. You only watch them a couple of times and then
you grow tired of them and shut them off. Now this might be true, but I personally think it's sad. The videos
were a tradition from the original worms, and I do miss them. Maybe you only watched them a few times, but those
few times they were really funny and very well created.
No CHEATS??
Here's another thing that separates W:A from the previous Worms games. I personally
spoke to Spadge (Martyn Brown, one of the guys behind the game), and he pointed out very clearly
when I asked him: "There are NO type-in cheats". But sure there still are cheats. You have to earn them
by playing the single player missions, trainings, and deathmatch. As you beat times and missions, you will get extra cheat options
like extra utilities and ability to turn on aqua sheep etc. And, if you're a real hardcore wormer and beat all the missions and trainings, you
get the "Full Wormage", a setting with ALL the weapons. You can always download it instead, but then you're a twerp. I do recommend you to earn them by playing. Believe me,
it's not impossible, and it will improve your Worming skills *alot*.
