Regler för NorDX 1995

Dessa regler ser ut som de gjorde i tävlingsinformationen. De blir på engelska för att ingenting ska gå förlorat.

RULES FOR NORDX '95

§1 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The 1995 Nordic DX-Championships are open to all DXers residing in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Norway. The members of the organizing committee are not to take part in the competition.
Anyone mailing the registration fee after August 25 does so at his own risk. The organizers cannot guarantee, that DX-ers will receive their contest schedules in time after this date.
DXers outside the Nordic countries may take part in the competition by submitting a registration fee equalling 100 SEK (alternatively 16 IRCs).
Non-Nordic DX-ers will be ranked separately and will not be in the running for the main prizes. All non-Nordic participants will, however, compete for separate prizes such as WRTH '96 and Passport '96.

§2 CONTEST LOGS

Contest logs may be written in English, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian. All logs shall be on standardA4-size paper. They shall be written on separate sheets for each station, and on one side of the paper only. The upper, right-hand corner of each sheet shall be marked clearly with your contestant number. (Your contestant number is stated on the address label and on this folder.)
Each contestant log must contain the name and frequency of the station in question, time in UTC/GMT (accurate to within 60 seconds) and programme details (cf. §5) in chronological order. Please refer to the adjacent sample log.
Logs should be typewritten if at all possible. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify contestants who submit logs which are unintelligble or otherwise not in compliance with the above rules.
All logs should be postmarked no later than Monday September 25.

§3 CLASSIFICATION

Contestants shall be ranked according to the total number of station and station points. If two or more contestants have acquried the same number of station points, they shall be ranked according to the total number of programme points (cf §5).
The club contest is based on the three members of each club who achieve the best results in the individual contest. The nation contest is based on the five contestants &om each country who have achieved the best results in the individual contest.
The score for each club/nation is calculated by adding up the indvidual classifications of the contestants above. The club/country with the lowest score has won.
Entrants will automatically also take part in National Championships, further details can be found in the leading DX-magazines of each country.

§4 STATION POINTS

Each station heard in the contest shall equal a certain amount of station points. This will depend on the amount of contestants having heard that particular station. Thus, the number of stations points awarded to each station is calculated using the following formula:

        101- the percentage of contestants who have heard the station and being approved a certain station=number of station points. No fractions of points will be used.

E.g. if only 1 percent of the contestant have heard and being approved a certaian station, the number of station points will be 100. If everybody has heard and being approved the station, the number of station points will be 1.
In order to obtain points for a specific station, at least one reported programme detail has to be judged correct, alternatively a close description of the programme (cf. below).

§5 PROGRAMME POINTS

One programme points wiII be awarded for each programme detail which is judged to be correct by the organizing committe. Only the following will be accepted as correct programme details:

If a contestant has heard a station but is unable to supply any programme details according to the specification above, he or she may instead supply a description detailling the broadcast as scrupulosly as possible. If, in this way, the organizing committee is convinced that the contestant has heard the station, he or she will be awarded the appropiate station points, but of course no programme points. The organizing committtee's decision in this matter will be final.

Details that are not accepted: items of news, station announcements, jingles or slogans. These things can however render an approval for station points.

§6 COOPERATION

There shall be no cooperation between contsstanta. Any cooperation may lead to disqualification of all parties included.

§7 DELETIONS

Stations may be deleted from the contest for any of the following reasons:

§8 PROTESTS

Anyone wishing to lodge protests concerning the contest schedule, may do so on a separate sheet of paper, when mailing his or her contest log.
Protests will be judged by the Contest Controller, who may seek assistance from the organizing committe for necessary informations when making the final decision. His judgepoent is final. No protest will be accepted after the contest results have been published.
The Contest Controller of the Swedish DX-Federation(SDXF) - Jan Tunéer, has accepted the post as the Contest Controller of NorDX '95.

§9 PRIZES

Any customs fees, taxes or levies incurred on prizes won in the contest, is not the responsibility of the organizers or the firms which have been donated prizes. Prizes will be mailed to contestants as soon as the results have been published.
