WELCOME TO A FOX-CLUB!
To train in a Fox club means that you have acces to an educated instructor, and that the techniques you are practising are chosed and tested, and they are the same in all Fox club´s.
The training is divided into different groups, and each group is on a special level. Wich group you are in depends on how many degrees you have. In the bassic group, the practisers learn basic techniques, blocks and to practise techniques against hitting/kicking pillows. Most of the time you practise two and two. After a while you are moved up in a higher group, you may start with sparring training.
The clubs in the FOX concept meet regulary on trainingcamps and instructor-seminars. The clubs also have acces to seminars in for example Krav Maga and Qi Gong.
In the practise there is also a effective selfdefence integrated (krav maga). So even if there are great possibilities to compete, the basicpractise contains more techniques, among them selfdefence.
Fox Kickboxing Concept is Sweden´s biggest association of kickboxing clubs and it´s formed by Benny Hedlund.

COMPETITIONS
In Sweden there are competitions in light- and full contact. Lightcontact is like sparring; no hard hits or kicks are permitted. The rules of fullcontact is almost the same as in boxing. Before a practiser enters a contest, he/she must have at least the 2:nd degree. FOX has had people in the international team since the 80´s, and has entered several international tournaments since that time.
KRAV MAGA
The Israelian selfdefence system Krav Maga is also in the FOX-concept. This means that those who practice kickboxing also have a possibility to learn Krav Maga on seminars. The seminars are on two levels - one with defence without weapons, and one with defence against weapons.
All the FOX-clubs can book theese one-day seminars with the Finnish instructor Jyrki Saario.
