CloneCD
CloneCD can create a perfect backup CD from any original CD (including copy protected CD:s). This is possible because CloneCD copies the track exactly as it is, with "errors" and subchannel data. Please follow these instructions to create a perfect backup from any CD.

1. Start CloneCD and select the button "Copy to Image File" to create a CCD-image from your CD. Later we will explain how to make a CD from the CCD-image files.

The most important thing to remember when you clone a CD is to copy subchannel data. Most CD-recorders can read subchanneldata and most CD-roms can not.

2. Therefor put the original CD in your CD-recorder. Select your CD-recorder and click <Next>.

3. Check the two "SubChannel Data" boxes and click <Next>. This is very important to make a perfect copy of your CD. If you don´t copy subchannel data some game CD:s will not start.

4. Select where you want to store your image files and click <OK>.

5. CloneCD will now create a CCD-image from your CD. Just wait 5-10 minutes and the image files are done.

How to burn a CD from a CCD-image

About CCD image
The CCD-image contans three or sometimes four files.

The cue file is optional and is only created if you check the box Create "Cue-Sheet". The cue file is needed if you want to burn the CD with Nero or an other CD-recording application. It´s recommanded to burn the CD with CloneCD to be sure that the new CD is a real clone.

Put an empty CD-R or CD-RW in the CD-recorder.

Burn the ccd-image file with CloneCD. Don´t forget to write down the serial number if it is needed for installation.

Note: These instructiones are for creating legal backup copies. It´s illegal in most countries to install or use any program if you don´t have a license for it, even if it is allready installed on your computer.
