The Siam smile.

In the old days Thailand was called Siam until 1939 and again between 1945 and 49. Thailand has a foundation so ancient that the very origins of the Thai people are in doubt. The meaning of "Thai" is free or the great. The land of smiles. The Siam smile. It goes on and on,,, This are what we are being told. The land of a 1000 smiles. Can this be? I mean, What the hell do they have to smile about. Im not talking about there Bath going down here. I mean, 10% of Thai girls are more or less prostitutes.(That's a fact) Think about that for a while. No folks, It's a greedy smile. Cause in Thailand you can get or do just about anything for money. Now don't get me wrong, I love the place. But that's because I have it and they don't. And they want it, bad! That's what all the smiling and bowings are for. Ok, so it's sounds pretty bad. But Im just about pissed after reading a great papper called "Bangkwang times" It's a papper being written inside The notorious Bangkwang Central Prison, alias "Bankok hilton". And then smuggled out. Check it out! Hell on earth. Now I know not any of you guys gonna have the insane idea to try the heroin smuggling buisness. Cause that's what 90% of the "Farangs" are in there for. I don't judge them. They've already been judged. They are all just a fellow man to me. And they are in deep shit. They did wrong, and they know it. But paying for it the Bang kwang way is back to the medeval. Now for some facts: The penalty for possesion of heroin, 100g or more. Death. Confessing, working with the police, gives you a 50% cut of. That means life, or 100 years. Of that you have to serve at least 8 years before you can get transfered to a jail in you're home country. Four years if less than a 50 year sentence. If you're caught possesing you will be sentenced. "It's not mine"or"Somebody put it there" wont help. Continue that and you will only recive double punishment and risk being severly abused by the Police. Knowing the conditions in the Thai prisons you are not lightly to keep you're sanity for more then a few years in a Thai jail. More then a few dies from mailnutrision, tbc or simple infections. "Saviors abroad" who's donations cover some of the very basic needs are greatly appriciated. Some ambasses can help you out. But most don't tough. The conclusion must be:"Don't do the crime-if you can't do the time."
