Accolade released this flight adventure set in World War II. You have some missions to
complete, including gunning down airplanes and bombing trains. This is not a traditional
flight simulator, for example you don't have to take care of pesky details like taking off
and landing. This makes it more of a multi-part arcade like game. |

Classic chess-like game from Freefall. You can play Light or Dark, and the object is
to either wipe out your opponent or take possession of five magic squares on the board.
When two pieces "meet" on the same square, a fight is initiated in which only
one piece comes out alive. Pieces have different characteristics, which makes for a
variety of combinations in fights. |

In this original strategy game, you play the part as the Armageddon Man. Your job: to
keep world peace and stop the great nations from obliterating each other with nukes. The
game has a very nice background soundtrack, and I for one really enjoy being able to
divide world resources fairly. |

Very simple text-based strategy game in which you play the new ruler of a young South-
or Middle American country. Get as much power as possible by trying to please different
groups. Sounds easy? Well, try making the armed forces and the subversives happy at the
same time... |

Two-player sword-fighting at its best. This classic from Palace was ported to a number
of different formats. I remember the ad for this one got quite a lot of attention - it
featured a busty Maria Whittaker alongside some Conan-like dude. |

In this little classic, you guide your little guy around caves to collect diamonds.
Hazards include falling boulders and all manner of creatures. This is one of the most
popular games for the C64, and the game is truly addictive in ways which are hard for me
to describe. There are plenty of levels just in this game, but there are also a number of
follow-ups out there, along with a construction kit. |

The bozo in this game goes out every night to have some beer, and you must guide him

and harder to handle. Just about everything on screen is a hazard, so you have to take
care. |

enjoying game. |

Strategy/war/action from Epyx. Take command of a destroyer and complete various
missions, like sub hunting and taking out gun emplacements. The game has one real
drawback, and that is it multi-loads in-game screens. Thus it takes quite a while to
switch from bridge to guns, etc, if your emulator does not provide fast-loading. |

In this comic conversion you play Fred. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do
exactly, but I do remember something about building a house. The graphics follow the
cartoon pretty well, but the gameplay is sometimes annoying. The turtle on the picture

Now here's a pretty strange game. The name is from the pop/rock group of the 80's, who
had hits like "Relax" and "The power of love". However, I've found no
references whatsoever to the group in this game.
Instead it's sort of an investigation adventure, where you have to find the murderer.
Another goal is to become a "real person" (I'm not sure what it is you actually
are). |

A heavy-weight helicopter simulator from Microprose. I had the original copy of this
one on tape (fear those loading times!) - and I remember a keyboard overlay map came with
it. There are lots of controls to master, but once you do it, this game is truly
rewarding. You fly your gunship through several missions of varying difficulty, and get
rewarded by promotions and/or medals. I used to crash-land so much, I got several purple
hearts. |

I just love games where you get to play the criminal. Here your part is that of a
booze-smuggler during the prohibition in the USA. You must take care of making money, as
well as keeping an eye on the competition and the police. The game is pretty
straight-forward and simple, but a great soundtrack and nice background graphics make it a
few notches better than it really is. |

much the same, where the rivals X and Y try to achieve the same goal, while trying to
sabotage the other playser as bad as possible. It's a great feeling when a booby-trap
springs on your opponent. The picture is from the second game in the series, The Island
Caper. The D64 contains all three games. |

Empty trash - sounds like fun? The creators of this game obviously thought so, and
they were right! You have to empty the bins on different streets on a pretty tight

traffic too, it's a killer. |
