It´s a tuff job to grade so everyone can be pleased,
but
I will try to do my best.
If You purchase a record and feel that I have missed
to grade
correct, please contact me as soon as possible
so we
can work something out.
This is the grading I use.
MINT, ( M ) :
The record itself is brand new condition with no surface marks or
deterioration in sound quality.
The cover and any extra
items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT, ( EX )
: The record shows some signs in
having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound
quality. The cover
is almost perfect without wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD, ( VG )
: The record has obviously been played
many times, but displayes no major deterioration in
sound quality, despite
noticeable surface marks and light scratches.
Normal wear and tear
on the cover, without any major defects, it´s quite ok.
This is NOT a bad record
and is what most of us would call "normal" played.
I also use + or - to these grades.
This is my way using
the Record Collector magazines grading.
I think this is better
than some "BIG" dealers own homemade systems that we can see.
Aside of this; I use abbreviations like;
COH = cut out hole
/ CC = cut corner / DH = drill hole
SS = still sealed
/ G/F = gatefold cover
SOC = sticker on cover
/ SOL = sticker on label
WOFC = writing on front
cover / WOBC = writing on back cover
WOL = writing on label
PROMO = promotion label
RE = reissue
If there is anything You wonder, just ask and I will describe the record for You.
HAPPY HUNTING!
