My father bought this car in october 1956 for 12700 SKR and he had the car until he
sold it in 1960 to a farmer who lives close to Ljungby in Sweden. In December 1971 he missed it
too mutch. He bought it back for 900 SKR. He started to repair this beautiful car.
A part of the floor had to be mended, new parts for the gearbox and overdrive, the rearwing
had to be replaced and paint jobb with the original colour black and white. In consider of its
speed capacity we had to put new tubless tires on.
The car is equiped with 6 cylinder 2.6 liters engine with 105 hp. Two S.U vacuumcarburettors (which can cause some problems) supplys the engine with fuel. The gearbox is a
halfautomatic Borg Warner with overdrive. My father says that in 1956 the car could easliy
make 180 /kmh. I havenīt confirmed that it still does. This car was exported to Sweden and
we know that it came at least 3 of this short modell to sweden. As far as I know this is the
only one. There is a similar modell. The Austin A-90. A-90 only has 90 hp and has a
manual gearbox.
Here is the first owner off the car, Bent B Schultze, mastering the engine.
"Stina" from the front.
I have a interesting old service book which I have put on the Web. It is unfortunately in swedish and for Austin A-90 modell
