Hi, my name is Anna Maria (mostly known as IA) and I am breeding Sacred Birmans under the prefix of S*Ullstrumpans.
I am a single mother, in my best age, with four boys and a boyfriend. I bought my first Birman in 1992. It was pure coincidence, what I originally wanted was a "bad" Persian, with a long nose. Any way, I read an advertisement in a newspaper about a Birman kitten. I went there and had one look, and I was hooked. I had stopped smoking, and in that way saved money for a pedigree-cat.
The cat's name was Vinsbobäckens Baronessa and she was a bluepoint. She was called "Smockan". She had her first litter in the summer of -93 and with that, the first Ullstrumpan's (Woolsocks.......) were born. Father of this litter was Vinsbobäckens Pavarotti. I kept a lilacpoint male called S*Ullstrumpan's Amadeus and a bluepoint female S*Ullstrumpan's Anisette was stationed with another breeder.
Amadeus fathered 13 kittens, among them EC Citizen's Umberto Uno (c). Anisette only had one litter, where I kept Chirå. From "Smockan"s second litter with S*Backkara's Hector (d), I kept "Bettan". Until very recently, three cats have lived with us at home, Bettan, Chirå and Casper. Now the number of cats has increased with two more, Tootie and Linus.
The Birmans of Ullstrumpan's have until today had 16 litters.
I am a member of Birmasällskapet (The Midnight Sun Society for the Sacred Birman Cat) and NERK (Catclub of Nerike).
